Years later, they both went to Charlie and Aurora’s wedding in Seattle, excited to celebrate their friends. They met in the tulip fields and Ben was impressed with Karen’s confidence in the photoshoot. Karen complimented Ben’s barefoot shoes, saying she had recently gotten some as well! Similarities started to mount as they both liked to bake sourdough bread and they both had recently taken Bachata dance classes. After the ceremony, Ben asked her to dance and they briefly danced the Bachata to a classic rock song. After all of this, their friends noticed something was happening and insisted they sit next to each other at dinner. They talked and danced through the night and sat next to each other on the shuttle back from the venue, where they learned more about each other’s lives and pasts. The next morning, Ben realized he should have gotten her number and in a panic he was able to get it from a mutual friend. He asked her to get coffee and they walked along the pier, talking about faith and life.
